Running for Governor is a novel written by Mark Twain in 1870, which unmasks the darkness of the capitalism. I was nominated for governor of the great State of New York. I thought that I had a big advantage over others, which was good character at first. But then a lot of fake news appeared on the newspaper. I suddenly became a perjurer, a thief, a body-snatcher, a delirium tremen, a corruptionist and an embracer. The editors made up one story after another and asked me to answer these charges and thus I had no choice to give it up.
The background of the novel is that after the civil war, the Democratic Party and the Republican Party used a lot of money to attack each other in various ways. Despite the great character of me, I was so weak that I didn’t debate with those who made up fake news so that I give it up, meaning that the ugly politician would finally become the governor, which reflects the disadvantage of the electoral system.
The part that impressed me the most is the ending, where nine little toddling children of all shades of colour and degrees of raggedness rushed on to the platform at a public meeting, clasped me around the legs and called me father, reaching the climax of the novel. I can even imagine the picture of it.
Despite the fact that it was written more than a century ago, it still has realistic significance now. What happened in the novel was what happened in the 2016 election in the United State. What were reported the most were troubled histories of Hilary and Trump instead of their plans. The idea that Russia has interfered the 2016 election and will interfere the 2020 election to let Trump to be elected has never stopped.

The Foreigner is a film directed by Martin Campbell. In the film, Jackie Chan acts as a British Vietnamese Chinese whose name is Guan Yuming. He has been a soldier attending the Vietnam War, whose daughter, his last family member, was killed in a terrorist attack in London, but because of the political struggle between the United Kingdom government and the Northern Ireland government and the fact that the vice minister of Northern Ireland who was a member of the terrorist organization and still keeps in touch with the controller wants to take advantage of the attack to trade with the UK government to have better political future, nobody cares about the dead. What’s more, some members discover his plan and struggle with him. There are some spies around him from the UK government and the terrorist organization. Everyone has his or her own idea, but nobody really cares about the dead.
To revenge on the terrorist organization and the vice minister, he follows the tracks of him, finds evidence of his errant actions and many other things, and asks for the name list of the attackers. Finally, he manages to kill them and post the evidence on the Internet, making the vice minister lose everything.
The story is partly a fiction, but the violent struggle between the UK government and separatists is from the First World War to 1998 is true. This film unmasks the struggle both between the UK government and the terrorist organization and between the terrorists.
Actuarially, without the foreigner, the UK government can still deal with the terrorist organization. This film just shows a story about revenge.
My favourite character is Guan Yuming because of the action.
“Everybody’s here, meet, dad.” is the last saying the daughter to Guan Yuming. Just in front of Guan Yuming, his daughter goes into the house, and minutes later, the bomb burst. Although he immediately rushes into the house to save his only family member. His wife and other sons and daughters has been dead because of the family’s hard trip to the UK. You can imagine how sad Guan Yuming is when he loses his last family member.

2001: A Space Odyssey is an adapted science fiction film directed by Stanley Kubrick, released in 1968, more than one year before Armstrong’s “one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind” on the Moon in 1969. Unlike other adapted film, the novel’s writing, filming and scripting were doing at the same time, which allowed the staff to revise the products by exchanging ideas with others and therefore the film was so realistic that people found that many imaginations was true later. Due to the unadvanced film and TV late stage, the staff used a lot of ways to film, which have been used in many films since then.
The film tells a story that long long ago, when apes were fighting against each other for food, a black stone came to the Earth. On touching the stone, the apes mastered the tool-making skills and thus they finally evolved into human beings, dominating the Earth, discovering the space and establishing many bases on the Moon.
In 2001, people find a black stone on the Moon. The ratio of the length, width and height is accurately 1:4:9. When the scientists touch the stone, they receive the message that something is on the Jupiter. On the journey, many things happen, and finally only one person arrive the Jupiter, becoming a star child, looking on the space and the Earth.
The few words, much music and large area of black make the film an artwork, being full of both the people’s hopes and worries about the future.
People can go to the Moon as easily as they take a plane. New technology can help them communicate with others easily. But technology is a double-edged sword. In the film, an AI called HAL, my favourite character, dubbed by Douglas Rain goes wrong in spite of the fact that scientists think that it will never go wrong, killing almost everyone in the spaceship and finally Dave Bowman cuts off the power and saves himself.
The television cameras with red light and emotionless voice are at every place in the spaceship, which is the only description of HAL. The camera with red light and emotionless voice in the huge screen, frightening everyone watching the film, makes people produce adrenaline. I love it.
Sayings are not necessary in this film, on the contrary, music is. The best part I think is the long flight from the Earth to the Jupiter, with no saying but music, displaying the space and the spaceship from different angle. The lack of animating atmosphere and Aram Khachaturian’s Gayane let everyone be absorbed in the space travel. Nothing can surpass it.
A plot may express the power of technology. When Dave Bowman feels that HAL is probably going wrong, he takes his colleague to a place where HAL can’t hear their voice to discuss how to close HAL, but HAL eavesdrops their conversation by analysing their lip language and is going to kill everyone.
Winning a lot of prize, there is no doubt that 2001: A Space Odyssey is the best science fiction film in the world.

　　中国第二次的火星探索计划在2020年发射，然而在网上能看到的资料大多是具体流程和难度，相关的面向大众的活动也只有征集名字一个传统活动，而NASA的活动则相对更多一些，这可能是因为NASA的火星探测车一个又一个，技术上的难度减小了许多和流程也被更多人了解了。但中国在探月过程中，即使已成功发射多个探测器。探测车，面向公众的活动也几乎为零，尽管NASA的活动对于探测活动本身几乎没有什么作用，更多的作用是扩大影响力从而获得经费，在中国这方面的担心相对更少一些，但是我还是希望这样的活动可以多一些。这样我参加后就可以。。。

　　2019年7月7日，我有幸参加了2019青少年高校科学营上海科学营华东理工大学分营。与来自上海、浙江、黑龙江、云南、江苏等全国11个省市和地区的同学和老师们齐聚于上海，参加为期一周的科学营，收获颇丰，并有幸获得“优秀营员”称号。

　　在华东理工大学营的开营仪式上，我们有幸听到了“挑战杯”市赛获奖团队代表向我们介绍了他们的研究项目，在第一个研究内容中，我了解到了“设计立县”是一个重塑社会资源、寻求变革的重要尝试。计划由政府介入推动，企业和设计师主导，希望借助部分政府和民间力量，推动建设城市创新综合体，促成设计专业企业、设计机构、设计师和制造业等项目的合作，推出品牌和产品，促进大众审美，引领社会潮流，为产业转型升级和设计服务业的发展提供强有力的支撑。艺术设计与传媒学院研究生何宇瑶通过福建省安溪市的案例介绍他们团队的发展历程，让我具体了解“设计立县”的思路。在安溪调查研究的基础上，从安溪“新三宝，老三宝”中找到了可开发的特色项目，再通过“千年松溪百年蔗”创意设计大赛，进行宣传，再通过“千年松溪百年蔗文化旅游节”带动其他产业发展。我由此感受到了精准扶贫中的不易与复杂。在她的讲述过程中，我常常想到了在地理课上学习的许多内容：“因地制宜”“位（置、）气（候、）地（形、）水（资源、）土（壤、）生（物资源、）资（源），市（场、）交（通、）劳（动力、）工（业基础、）科（技、）集（聚、）政（策）”。“因地制宜”看似简单的四个字，实现起来却很困难，现实远比题目复杂，没有题目中已知的优势产业，独特的产品、资源，必须自己去寻找，同时在宣传和组织上也要花不少心思。“位气地水土生资，市交劳工科集政”也不只是一句简单的口诀，而是在实践中都要考虑的重要因素。缺了什么都不行。
　　在第二天上海的开营仪式中，卢宝荣教授以“弘扬钟扬种子精神，探索生命奥秘”为题，向我们介绍了他为了祖国种子的发现、保存和感人肺腑的事迹，激励我们学习钟扬教授这种吃苦的精神。

　　同时，他也向我们讲解了生命的起源，人与自然的关系，让我们感受到科学的乐趣。学生代表胡诗成向我们讲述了她的研究经历与收获，介绍了她在比赛过程中的经验，给我们这些“科研小白”开了眼界，了解了科学研究的目的。在破冰活动中，在志愿者的帮助下，我们通过“自我介绍”“垃圾分类竞赛”和“你来比划我来猜”的活动，了解了其他营员，为之后的活动奠定了基础。

　　在第三天的研究活动中，我们了解了材料科学与工程学院的研究内容。听到老师讲述的他与“纳米”碗的故事，我既震惊于纳米材料的强大，又不得不感叹这种技术的复杂，了解了材料结构成分、合成加工、性质、使用性能的“四要素”，了解了材料的金属、无机非金属、高分子和复合材料的分类，了解了在材料“四要素”中物理学、化学和工程学的参与与结合，了解了材料在研究开发过程中需要考虑的组成、加工性、形状、使用性、经济性和再生性的通性，了解了人类社会的发展与材料的进步之间的关系，了解了从石器时代的木片、石器等天然材料到从黏土、铜、铁等矿物中提取的材料，再到从石油、煤等矿物中提炼的高分子材料以及之后发展的各向异性的材料和特征随环境和时间变化的复合材料的发展，了解了材料的“复合化、功能化、智能化”的发展趋势和“低成本、高质量、高效率”的先进制造技术和“节省资源、节约能源、回收再生”的绿色思想，了解了从矿物加工合成基本有机化合物，再合成高分子材料的制造方式。在东莞成铭胶粘剂材料有限公司的林政錬副总经理的带领下，通过对纸尿裤的“解剖”，我们了解了胶粘剂的分类，了解了各种胶粘剂在接触方式、固化方式和破坏过程中的共性，在有趣的故事中了解到安全、涂层效率、储存、抗老化、成本、工厂规模和设施成本等方面对工业生产的重要性。之后，我们认识热熔胶这一胶粘剂，并以此为例认识了接着成功必不可少的“润湿”和“固化”的过程，认识了接着现象的物理原理，认识了“open time”“setting time”两个对于胶粘剂的选择的重要因素。

　　第四天我们在“材料国家级实验教学示范中心（华东理工大学）”利用热熔胶进行了粘花和创意作品制作的活动，亲身感受了热熔胶的神奇特点，感受到了科技的魅力，在活动过程中与组员们交流，增进了友谊。在创作的过程中，虽然有了许多失败的尝试，但是我们从这些失败的经历中吸取教训，不断完善，逐渐做出了满意的成品。

　　第五天，我们参观了中华艺术宫、自然博物馆和外滩。在中华艺术宫的“全国优秀摄影作品展览”上，通过照片，我感受到了改革开放以来祖国在各方面的进步成果。

　　在“全国优秀美术作品展览”和“全国优秀书法纂刻作品展览”上，我看到了不同历史时期的美术作品的风格和变化，感受到了作品的时代气息。

　　在自然博物馆里，我看到了大量的标本，了解到了上海这个城市地理环境和生物活动的变化。

　　我们还参观了国家重点实验室，了解了生物工程的许多知识，了解了工业生产的步骤和从实验室走向工厂所需的改变。

　　除了这些活动，我们还在闲暇时间进行了节目的彩排，从选择到练习、调整，在一次次尝试的失败中，我们也在逐渐成长。

　　在科学营中我既收获了与前沿的科学知识，也收获了科研的方法与精神，更收获了与来自全国各地的高中生们的友谊。
